Years ago, the Lord dealt with Eld. Smith in a dream. In the dream, the late Dr. G. S. Smith was preaching the Apostolic doctrine. He handed the microphone to Eld. Smith and told him to “finish the message.” Several years later, the Lord spoke to Elder Smith to reach out to Apostle C.A. Cowart, the General Overseer, of the Churches of God the Bibleway, Inc. Through this divine connection, Elder Smith and his family joined the Church of God the Bibleway in Winter Haven, Florida in August 2020 with the blessing of his former Pastor, Dr. Gilbert S. Smith. For three and half years, Elder Smith and his family drove seven hours round trip from South Florida to attend Church services in Winter Haven Florida every Sunday. One evening, while Elder Smith was listening to Apostle C.A. Cowart preaching, the Lord spoke to him saying “I told you to finish the message.” Reminding him of the dream the Lord had shown him several years ago with the late Dr. Gilbert S. Smith. Recognizing the need of a revival for the Apostolic doctrine, the Lord moved on Apostle C.A. Cowart to run a revival in the Ft. Lauderdale, Fl area. Nine months later, after the Church of God the Bibleway Inc. National Women’s Assembly in Valdosta, GA, Apostle C.A. Cowart appointed Elder Smith to start a work in the South Florida area. The Ft. Lauderdale area was chosen as a central location in the South Florida region to service Miami Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties On September 22, 2023, Church of God the Bibleway, South Florida begin services with Bible study in a small store front with 8 adults and their children. After much prayer, the Lord opened the door to the current location in Ft. Lauderdale and on February 4, 2024, began services on Sunday morning. The Lord put His stamp of approval as one soul was baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ on the first Sunday service.
